Dr. Paul Carroll


Dr Carroll graduated from University of Western Australia in 1992 and worked in Australia and the UK until he arrived in Ireland in 2001. He holds Membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners and has special interests in paediatrics, skin cancer, cardiology, preventative medicine and travel medicine.

Dr. Serena Lyons


Dr Lyons is a graduate of University College Dublin. She became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners on completion of the specialist GP training scheme in Ireland. She worked extensively in practices across the country and in 2006 worked as an emergency medical doctor in New Zealand before joining Churchtown Medical.

Dr. Lyons has a special interest in dermatology and graduated in 2010 with the Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University. As part of reproductive health care at Churchtown Medical Dr. Lyons provides Mirena Coil and Implanon insertion and has also been awarded the Advanced Certificate in Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) by the ICGP in 2013.

Dr. Ahmed Mehtar


Dr Mehtar is a graduate of Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. As one of the founder members of the Irish College of General Practitioners, Dr Mehtar is highly acclaimed and very keen on the development of general practice in Ireland.

He has been practicing in Churchtown for many years and his special interests include minor surgery, preventative medicine, travel medicine and women's health.

Dr. Heidi Kinsella


Dr Heidi Kinsella graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2001. She completed two years of general
medical training after graduation gaining valuable experience in various medical specialities. She
completed specialist training in General Practice in 2007 and worked in several practices in Dublin
before joining Churchtown Medical.


Dr Kinsella has a special interest in Dermatology and completed the Diploma in Practical Dermatology
in Cardiff University in 2010. She is a member if the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and holds
Diplomas in Child Health and Medicine for the Elderly and the Certificate in Long-Acting Reversible
Contraception.

Dr Kinsella is also involved in Equestrian sports and has been Medical Officer for the Dublin Horse
Show, Eventing Ireland and the Association of Irish Riding Clubs.

Dr. Edwina O'Malley


Dr. O’Malley graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) in Ireland in 2010. After completing her internship, Dr. O’Malley completed a year on the medical training scheme and then worked as a clinical medical tutor for the Department of Medicine in the RCSI in Beaumont. Dr. O’Malley completed her general practice training in the mid-Leinster scheme in 2017. In the final year of the GP training scheme, Dr. O’Malley conducted research which was accepted and presented at the European Patient Safety Conference in 2017. 

Dr. O’Malley has completed part of 1 of the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, has a European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care and an Irish College of General Practitioner’s Certificate in Contraception. Dr O’Malley is currently in her second year of the Diploma in Practical Dermatology in Cardiff University.
