Dr. Drs Andres Gonzalez
Dr Andres Gonzalez graduated medicine in Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela in 2011,
before completing a year of rural medicine in Manuare, Venezuela. The truth is he was born
to be a doctor, having “a strong family tradition of doctors and being unable to even entertain
any other profession.”
It helps that he genuinely likes helping others!
Andres then travelled to Murcia, Spain, and studied for the MIR system from 2012 to 2014,
going on to specialise in family medicine, finishing in 2018.
After a year as an emergency department consultant, Andres came to Ireland and has been
with Centric Health Navan Road since May 2019.
Medically, he has a special interest in chronic disease management, as well as performing
minor surgery and joint injections.
With a loving wife and two small daughters, Andres enjoys his home-life, as well as films
and videogames, while being an avid reader: Joe Abercrombie’s The Blade Itself is his
favourite book. And if Andres could give just one piece of general medical advice?
Well, “not all chesty coughs need antibiotics,” he says.
Dr. Kelvin Chong
Dr Kelvin Chong is originally from Malaysia, but his love of travelling means he has spent
time in over 60 countries across the world and speaks four languages, namely English,
Malay, Chinese and Russian.
In 2009, he was made an MD (Doctor in Medicine) at Kursk State Medical University, in
Russia, and in 2016 completed his Graduate Certificate in Family Medicine (GCFM), at the
Academy of Family Physicians Malaysia.
Kelvin has a particular interest in chronic disease management, and truly relishes working
with the patients he sees, simply enjoying “interacting with them and helping them every
day”.
