Repeat Prescriptions Delivered Electronically
You don’t always need to go to the doctor for a repeat prescription. Request your repeat online –
and if appropriate we’ll send it to your pharmacy electronically.
How do I get a repeat prescription?
We now offer electronic repeat prescriptions, sent by secure email to your preferred pharmacy within five days of request. To avail of this service:
- go to your GP practice website, click on the repeat prescription button, fill it in and click send. There’s a tick box too, to consent to electronic prescriptions. You must check this if you want your GP to send your script to your nominated pharmacy. You then collect your prescription from your pharmacy or arrange with them to deliver.
- alternatively, download our Repeat Prescription Form here, print it out and complete it. Return it either by email, by post, or drop it in to us. Again, there is an option to have your prescription sent electronically and securely to your preferred pharmacy.
If you prefer, you can also pick up a repeat form from reception, complete it and drop it back to us. Please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope if you want it posted back to you. You can then take your prescription to your pharmacy yourself.
Please note that your doctor will need to review your medication periodically to ensure you are being cared for appropriately, so on occasion you may be asked to visit the practice for medical review, or to have a phone/ video consultation with your doctor.
